Affiliate Disclosure

Short version: some links on this site are affiliate or referral links. If you click one and sign up or buy, we may earn a fee at no extra cost to you. That money pays for the research behind every guide. It never decides what we recommend.

How it works

• Affiliate links on our site look like financeguide.co.za/go/provider-name/. They redirect to the provider's website with a tracking code, so the provider knows we referred you.
• The provider pays the fee, not you. If we can ever offer an exclusive deal, the page will say so.
• Some providers pay per sign-up or per quote request (a "lead"). We say so on the page when a link works that way.
• We may also show display ads (for example, Google AdSense). We don't choose the individual ads, and an ad isn't an endorsement.

What it doesn't change

• Rankings and verdicts. We rank products by what our research shows, including products that pay us nothing. Where a partner has weaknesses, we say so.
• No paid placements. A provider can't pay to appear in a guide, rank higher or approve what we write.
• Same research for everyone. Partner and non-partner products go through the same process. See how we research.
